For Plumbing Manufacturers International (PMI), Valek & Co. contributed tosearch-optimized web content and a publication for those with questions about the threats posed by Legionella, a waterborne pathogen that causes Legionnaire’s disease.

"Just the Facts” takes a deep dive into the subject matter, with 27 different publications cited as references. The content can serve as a core document for organizations wishing to advocate for water system safety. In addition, to encourage social media conversation and sharing, the PMI/Valek & Co. team produced a toolkit including a one-page summary, social media messages and graphics, and a quiz you can link to from your website. In addition, Valek & Co. placed articles about Legionella prevention in key media outlets.

The content surged to be a search engine optimization (SEO) leader among website pages with Legionella information relating to plumbing systems, water supply systems, and water infrastructure. The Legionella content also quickly became one of the top 10 pages viewed on the safeplumbing.org website.
